Nested Sound Waves

Hand-blown glass, resonance suspended in form.

Nested Sound Waves is a sculpture of vibration, a visual echo of something once heard, now held in shape and color. Its form rises outward in layered ripples, like a note traveling through water, or a whisper expanding into a room. Each fold feels like a moment of resonance, wave nested inside wave, energy folding back into itself as though listening to its own memory.

This piece remembers the breath that shaped it, the spin of the rod, the slow gravity that coaxed the glass into bloom. The lines that ripple through the surface are pathways of motion, sound translated into motion, motion translated into light. The colors hold the quiet greens and oceanic blues of depths rarely seen: the places where sound becomes pulse, and pulse becomes awareness.

It holds the delicate tension between expansion and collapse, between the soft invitation of heat and the certainty of cooling stillness. Nested Sound Waves is not simply a sculpture, it is the aftermath of song. The shape a feeling leaves behind. The bloom of a moment that once moved through air and now rests quietly, visibly, forever.
